At times Windows Resource Protection is unable to perform the Requested Operation. Most of the time this problem pops up at the end of an SFC scan or when an SFC scan gets stuck in the same stage for some time and fails. This issue affects all of the versions of the Windows OS that are assisted by Microsoft, from Windows 7 to 10. This problem happens mostly with the SFC utility for some reason and not being able to access files that requires operating or needs to scan in case of damage. You can go for further details and methods by following this website We have some solutions here for your problem.

Method 1 Run the CHKDSK utility:

i). Go for the Start Menu and search cmd
ii). Now right-click on the search result named cmd and press on Run as administrator ii). Write CHKDSK C:/R into the elevated Command Prompt and tap Enter
iv). After the instruction executed, you will be informed that the CHKDSK utility will run at the next boot. Then write y into the elevated Command Prompt and click Enter
v). Close the Command Prompt and restart your system.

Method 2 Modify the security descriptors on the winsxs folder:

i). Open the Start Menu and find cmd
ii). Now right-click on the search result with the title cmd and press on Run as administrator.
iii). Write ICACLS C:/ Windows/ winsxs into the elevated Command Prompt and Enter.
iv). End the command prompt when the instruction executed and reboot your PC

Method 3 Perform a repair install of Windows). A repair installation easily solves many issues and since that is the case, it can do all tasks without losing any data stored on the system.
