It would be nice to hear if there was any traction on this. Our whole organization has widescreen monitors, yet Teams keeps the chats to ridiculously narrow widths. Ridiculous.
After I voted and commented... should this issue be merged up into the more popular issue here? https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/17408641-compact-mode it seems like there's some overlap there.
We’re currently working on defining a compact mode experience. I will post more details when we have more to share.
We are getting closer… the team is almost ready to rollout MacOS notification support internally for testing – we hope to have it to the public by the end of this quarter.
Thanks!Justin Fincher commented
This would be super handy. Not only just because it is nice to have notifications unified, but when I command+tab to switch apps then do the same to switch back to Teams, it seems to always make the hidden "notification" window the active window so I can't start typing until I click on the Teams window. Kinda defeats the purpose of using command+tab in the first place!
