Thank you for your feedback! The team has reviewed this request and has added it to our backlog for both Standard (Public) to Private and Private to Standard (Public) channel conversion. We will share an update as soon as it’s available.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the suggested reason for not putting code snippets in a permanent wiki, that syntax for languages changes over the time span of years/decades.

I don't know about you people, but at my workplace, we use MS Teams and its features for communication related to the products we develop. A wiki does not have to be more permanent than the product it documents, but it is incredibly useful during the time the product sees active development. And, realistically, we're talking about timespans of < 5 years before the documented internal APIs have been revised beyond recognition, not decades.

Still, no way this can be taken as a reason not to write and store any documentation at all while it would still be up to date.

Apparently, unformatted code snippet blocks are already possible by starting the first line with ``` (three grave accents), but it is of course very desirable to thave the same editor with syntax highlighting like in chat for the wiki.

I agree with this. I mostly cannot tell what a given GIF is actually showing. Likewise, having the GIF name or keywords as a tooltip when hovering over it would be really helpful.

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!

I think this is a very important feature. In larger projects, MS Teams can lead to the creation of many teams and channels on different subtopics. It makes sense for plenty of people to access all of these channels, but only read and participate when one of the features they are responsible for is mentioned.

My preference would be a having a list (without a length restriction, please!) of regular expressions that, if matched by any message in any of the channels of the teams I'm in, send me a toast notification, but even a set of fixed, user-defined keywords would be incredibly helpful.
