I write internal living documentation i the wikis and important illustrations of routines are disappearing not being recoverable.
I user the desktop version mainly, but have tried the web app too to see if it helps. The error occurs in both.
This is important. If the function can't be trusted, why is it there at all.
Only we have already put so much work in documenting and collecting knowledge in the wikis so moving it somewhere else would be a daunting task.
This need fixing, fast!

Unlike the previous comment suggests we can't say everything we need to say i simple slogans in Teams Conversations.
Our work requires more complex messages than "yup" and likes. We often describe technical issues in the Channels. The Enter as send make me rage several times a day.
Otherwise we might aswell just to go back to using e-mail and keep the internal talk outside Teams. But I agree that a Chat function use Enter for send. But that is an entire different function than we expect from the Team Channel Conversations.

This is maybe the most annoying and stupid feature of Teams, and there are several instances or variants of this same request submitted (and I just checked the first search result page)
https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/37273891-ctrl-enter
The best option seems to be:
Enter = New Line (Paragraph Break)
Shift+Enter = Forced New Line (No Paragraph Break)
Ctrl+Enter or Icon = Send.Fix it, pleeease!Jim Mundane supported this idea ·

It is ridiculous that the most dominant developer in the world can't make simple tasks everyone takes for granted work in their new flagship system Teams!
Teams is a joke!

Why isn't this default?
Things are still stored on disks and servers. You can link to everything in Teams but disk locations.

... and Favourites should be optional. I have no use whatsoever for a Favourites sorting that automatically sorts on top.

Teams Chat Contacts custom sorting should be exactly like in Skype4B or better.
Not just only in Groups but also NOT alphabetically ordered. It should be in personally preferred order
It should remember which Groups are expanded.
It chould be compact, with smaller or optional user avatars.
The complete list or atleasst 40 contacts should be possible to overview at a glance without scrolling.

Thank you for your feedback! We are happy to share that users who write different messages in different languages, will now see spellchecking relevant to the language they are actively using when typing a message while using the Microsoft Teams Desktop App on Windows.

How hard can it be?
And why wasn't it implemented from the start? Like most of Teams this is just halfbaked.
