Skype for Business used to give the number. Teams doesn't. This is a much needed feature for users who answer call from customers!
Unbelievable that this has been pushed back to end of Q4. We use Teams for PSTN. It's bad enough that when a member of staff is on a call, the SECOND RINGER comes through the headset, unable to hear what the customer is saying because of a second ring.
Microsoft need to get their act together. Teams has massive potential but is let down by other priority jobs like "Let's add emoji replies to chats" - Or "Live Events" which the majority of customers probably don't use.
The feature team is at work on the hold music feature. We will update you when we have more details. Thanks.
The team is working on the API, and we will post as we have more information.
In the meantime, for Embrava, please note they have announced presence support for TeamsOnly mode with their version 5.2.16.
We use Blynclight alongside other presence products like Kuando Busylight. We need the API to expose user presence in real-time - And would be useful for a status board on the wall to see who is at their desk or on the phones.
We've been asking for this in Skype for Business. It'll probably need an overhaul of their system for this data. I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.
Please check “Teams/Skype Consumer chat and calling interop” on the public roadmap at microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters.. for updates.
Madness. Millions of users unable to contact Businesses using a globally recognised product.
Whoever declined this request needs to deliver their head on a platter.
