    I do really not understand, why this was declined. If this is not coming, to migrate from Skype for Business to teams will not be possible. We do not want to have still and Always the both products running. We really Need to have the possiblilty to be able to contact Skype for Business users (even if the do not use Teams in their Companies) and Skype users for chatting. Our understanding of "migration path" is to make Skype (both versions) obsolete. If this will not be the case - I think we Forget teams…..

    It looks like some people in the thread below have figured it out — we actually have this. You can start a chat both ways; the system will automatically recognize if this person is on Skype for Business or on Teams.
