MINIMUM - attach files to a specific folder within the channel files.
BEST - select destination folder at time of making attachment. Also there is a bug when you manually overcome this file management sin. See attached file for documentation of this.

Another use case I can think of for this is someone who is on long term medical or parental leave. It may be able to catch up on chat history after a week or two vacation, but several months of chat to catch up on would be unreasonable. The user should be able to disallow chat and then allow it again when they return to work.

We use a helpdesk administrative account for creation/management of Teams but we don't want to do support ticket intake via Teams chat. Nonetheless we are seeing a lot of people chatting at our helpdesk rather than use traditional support means.
We need to do any or all of the following:
Auto-respond to user instructing them how to get help.
Set out of office message that only applies to Teams that can instruct how to request help.
Simply reject chats sent to that 'user.'Chris McEwen supported this idea ·

It is necessary to be able to see accurate page layout. Not providing accurate page breaks and top and bottom margins of pages hampers print prep and is just visually annoying.

We have been iterating on different designs and are starting to test internally. I don’t have a timeframe but will keep you posted.

Whatever the placement - my plea is to please make the REPLY option much more prominent. We have users starting *brand new conversations* to say "Me, too," and "Done," and "I dunno, what do you want for lunch?" rather than attaching their replies to the main topic. Please make it bigger, or red, or appear as an actual old school beveled button ...

I found this feedback because I was looking for feedback to up-vote that says, "Make reply button way more prominent." we have people ALL THE TIME creating new conversations to say things like, "Done," or "Me too," or some other reply to a main topic, but instead of replying into the thread they are starting new conversations. Still looking for that feedback or will create own if I can't find. Those of you who don't want to have a "reply" button - why don't you want threaded conversations?

Due to prioritization of other work-items this has been moved to the backlog. We will update when it is being actively worked on again.

Also I am not getting emails for channels that I follow. I have tried numerous conditions such as being logged out of Teams on all devices. Setting is selected for "banner and email" but I am not getting emails for all relevant channels.
10000% need to do this. I cannot tell you how many times (because it is too many to count) smart, tech savvy, people create an entirely new conversation to say, "me too," or a new conversation to say, "That's what I thought."
What is what they thought? We don't know.
After a year of using Teams and people are still not replying correctly, the problem is with the UI.
