@robert Kudos for coming back and explaining - thanks for being so prompt and it really helps us to explain to users what it was - I hope it helps Microsoft understand how carefully they need to control the guidance as in the times we live in any change can be seen in a prism of security and create a perceived threat.

@robert - If it helps our first user "installed" the app around 10:20am on the 3rd Jan - I checked with him and all the others who had "installed" it and they saw the same behaviour as Simon noted and had accepted the app T&Cs

We manually disabled the app and the behaviour stopped before it was withdrawn form the store. Thanks for being so quick to respond.

We too have this and managed to disable the app in our teams admin - it has now disappeared. We have also raised a ticket. #23521278

We have over 30000 users and I believe (but have no empirical evidence) that this discourages many from joining the meeting as it can be distracting (much like hearing your own voice) what I would say also is that the box is filled with a "In Vision" or "Camera Live" to avoid any accidental exposure.

Agree and as we enter welcome week the September cut off of the increase falls into sharp focus. I note the increase to 15 hours long, this could be dropped back to 4 at most. We have 4000 staff and 15000 students so by the law of averages 30-45 will be ok. However if it's a real problem perhaps a mechanism to allow for a couple of annual flex-up periods to cover welcome weeks or events for Universities would be helpful. After all it gets the technology used by future customers.

We have a significant number of meetings being implemented - we really need this.

+1 - we have delegated meetings for teams which may need this as well a Adrian's example. We have 4000 or so staff and bout 10% would use this.

My perceived behaviour without and great testing is that already works for person to person chat. I chat with colleagues in my contact list from other Universities without them having to change. I think what your actually getting at is the ability to access Teams post channels whilst logged into their home org?

Phillipe's way of working does seem to work but it's not connected to the teams app and uses a page our users have never seen before and without understanding the tenancy concept they will likely sign out of the wrong thing. Having the capability in the App you signed up in would be better.

We too would like somthing for the more formal meetings where aganedas can be standardised, worked on by part of the team (like a private channel) and published to the rest of the group. It's alos missing the capability to discuss, annotate privately and share comments within the meeting and a automated minutint collation/distribution process. Then ideally a meeting document archiving process. I realise not all of these would be possible but others have done this on a sharepoint base (boardpacks)

Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to announce that Mac support for sharing system audio is now available to users who have opted into Public Preview.

Please see feature details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-public-preview-channel-include-computer-sound-on-mac/m-p/2107853.

You can learn more about the new Microsoft Teams Public Preview program here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreview, and Teams administrators can find documentation to manage which users will see the Public Preview option here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreviewAdmin

    Enjoy!

Great to hear in testing - any updates - we have 30-40 members of staff (from 3000) who want to use teams as a recruiting tool but have to use Zoom because PPT won't play in the presentation.

This was always flaky in S4B and we have 20 or thiry lecturers who would like to use Teams to engage with prospective students. They really would like to use a few short videos but without a lot of hardware fiddling they can't. Zoom can and they want to buy it so can we please fix this.

We have approximately 10000 staff an students using Word online and they would find this a vast improvement to the online experience of using the 365 products which link to word online like teams.

I don't thik @everyone is suitable in a large environent - but it may be sensible to have some limited intelligence . Formal groups should be created for HR groups but bearing in mind the ad-hoc and flxible aim of teams it would be nice to have selected GAL attributes available, the sort of stuff an IDM system can't work out for cross specialism groups. So for example I may want a team with @title="project manager" or @department="marketing" or @location="Manchester" alongside just adding individuals. Just saying "use a group" formalises somthing which is in it's best incarnation crossing formal boundaries.

We are investigating teams for our university, however hunt groups are key to an enterprise scale deployment to our 3000 staff (about 10-20% would be part of hunt groups. At present the lack of a one stop shop for telephony would prevent use looking at Teams telephony. If MS are serious about this they either need to encompass the core telephony functions or improve integration with third party suppliers like cisco and mitel.

Our new Teams admin console now lists about 50% of the teams created in our tenancy (it does the same on another tenancy) listing about 80 when we have about 160. it would be great if we could have the first part working before moving on to the second. Our Prem support people say "it's working through the system" and can't fix it.
