The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
Thanks!

We are getting closer, and are still working thru some bugs, but hope to release this as part of a Public Preview pack in early 2021! (Windows 10 released with the December 2020 pack this week)
You can learn more about the new Microsoft Teams Public Preview program here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreview, and Teams administrators can find documentation to manage which users will see the Public Preview option here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreviewAdmin

Guys, this is essential, pls fast track. It's THE reason we're still using Slack. We can't rely on Teams for effective communication as you constantly miss things. I can't see notifications when full screen and in another application.

Many companies are multi-tenant. I'm a 'guest' to our other companies on 5 tenants. It's so frustrating I can't send files to colleagues in a private chat! It's a basic principle of effective collaboration surely? Really surprised this hasn't been fixed yet. I have to resort to email as most of the time it's not appropriate to send within a channel.

There are some basics for effective communication and collaboration. This is one of them. I'm really surprised this and some other lacking features are not prioritised as it's things essential to what the tool is meant to be!
My company has several tenants, which makes it a nightmare with my colleagues without this feature.
It's quite simple - I cannot rely on Teams as communication tool. I miss things, other people miss my posts/messages - it forces me to email and other channels (including Slack btw)
Mega frustrating.
