We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.
Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.
Any status update on this feature? I have several customers asking for this feature in order to move away from email. Saving attachments directly to a channel in the interface is the key.
There's a great discussion and visualization of the solution here:
We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
As a Microsoft employee, I now have access to Private channels in Teams! I have no date for GA (General Availability) and I'm not part of the Teams product group. But feature is live and working in internal rings. Thought you'd like to know! Hold on guys!
Hi folks, we are collecting feedback on this so we can determine prioritization and user need.
Please comment in the thread below about how this affects you, how you currently add members, and who you think would benefit from this in your organization.
Thank you for your suggestion! We really appreciate the feedback and idea. We have reviewed this request and started working on it. I’ll let you know as it nears completion.
I love Teams but this is frustrating. Sharing a chat with colleagues or customers is constantly relevant. Imagine not having a forward button in email...
But glad it's being worked on! Any updates would be awesome. Thanks!
Due to prioritization of other work-items this has been moved to the backlog. We will update when it is being actively worked on again.
Needs a fix. Currently my customers are 2nd class chat-members and have to email files to me (unless they have a link-sharing feature)
This item is officially on the backlog.
Would be great for training/education, in classroom settings etc. Feature request has come up from a few customers. Any word on this feature coming to Teams?
Screen share for Chrome is internal testing, and we are hoping to release it this quarter. We’ll keep you posted.
We have a customer Team where guests would love to add their own profile photos. It would increase the sense of collaboration and make guests and other team members more equal.
