This would be extremely useful - At the moment, the only way we can access shared voicemail, e.g. from an AutoAttendant divert, is through groups in Outlook. I would like to see the shared voicemail listed in my own view of voicemail under calls in Teams and identified appropriately. It should appear this way for anyone who has access to the shared voicemail, and be removed from everyone's voicemail list as soon as someone deletes it.

Still under review by the feature team. Nothing new to report at this time.

This would be very useful - it's frustrating having to scroll down to find specific teams. We have 5 or so specific teams our IT staff require easy access to for their main work, but not all on a frequent basis. It is not unusual for IT staff to be a member of 30 to 40 teams as part of troubleshooting etc which means time is lost searching through to find a team, or they forget it exists because it is hidden and post into the wrong team. Please give serious consideration to this feature. Thanks.

Any progress on this one? My list of teams I am a member of is growing by the day and becoming almost unmanageable. Thanks.

This seems like an obvious feature to add - differentiate between departmental teams, project teams, social teams and so on. It could be fairly non-intrusive with perhaps an icon to denote the type of team, or a grouping function. At the moment we are having to consider Team naming syntax as a work-around, e.g. append Project to project teams etc. which is a bit cumbersome.

This is really annoying - KFM is a great feature but we need a way to control the desktop shortcuts as people move between shared desktops, or are issued new devices.

This is definitely one to sort out - why limit it to three or more? Chats often just start out one-to-one.

This request is still in the backlog, no new details are available at this time.

I’ll continue to watch for new information from the feature team to share with you.

try this instead  ·  Warren responded

Updating the status to “Try this instead” and have added the clarification that after 30 days the name is once again available.

The reason for this decision was that Channels can be restored 30 days after being deleted. During this time, we intentionally don’t support creating a channel with the same name. After the 30 days, the name is available.

You can workaround this by restoring a deleted channel, renaming it, and then deleting the channel again. The previous name is then available for use.

This workaround has already been mentioned in the comments and if an immediate reuse of a Channel Name is required, this is the recommended solution.

By the way - deleting the team isn't necessarily a solution if you want to preserve a clean URL of the underlying sharepoint site. For example, if you delete a team with the name Finance and create a new team named Finance, the sharepoint URL will be ../sites/finance2/etc which isn't very intuitive and could lead to confusion.

We are also unable to rename a channel with a name used months ago. The 30 day threshold doesn't appear to be working correctly. The channel renaming issue is a big problem for us and I would think any other organisation – the normal ebb and flow of decisions around naming conventions often leads to trial and error, hence I am surprised the name of a channel isn’t abstracted from the unique identifier of the channel.

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!

We are now preparing for the roll out of Tasks in Teams which will integrate additional features integrating To-Do and Planner. This includes additional list views that also extend to tabs in teams. Further announcements about additional integration in our overall Tasks coherence effort will follow.

You can follow the rollout via our Roadmap item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=57213. To see a preview of the experience, please visit https://youtu.be/rTATVGroEsQ.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

See this post for more information:

With Teams getting pushed as the main platform in Office 365, it would be great to have direct links in Teams to other Office 365 apps such as SharePoint Online, Outlook, Word, Planner etc, perhaps with the option to customise with your own preferences so you only show links to the apps you use.
