Thank you for your continued feedback. The feature team is actively working on this feature as well as doing work to give users the choice to open Word/Excel/PowerPoint files by default in Browser, Office app or inside the Teams app. We will share an update here as soon as one is available.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

We're looking for exactly this.
We started trying out with shortcut-links in the files-tab (similiar to how it works in Sharepoint were you can put a link to a folder or a file in an other folder) helping people working in one channel finding files in other channels. Unfortunatly - shortcuts working in sharepint doesn't work in Teams. When we found the add a Sharepoint folder tab funtction we were fairly certain that it would solve our problem but ended up with a link to the root-folder - not at all helping teammembers to find files easier.Sara supported this idea ·

We do this using "open in sharepoint" where we easily can move folders between chanels and even teams.

Thank you for your comments and votes. While there is no status change, we did want to share that the feature is still being considered and remains under review.

I would like the (hopefully future) to-do connection to be more native and appear/be created directly in conversations and chats.
