I can't think of any reason that emojis and reactions should not be unified, as they are in Slack. When you add to the emojis, it should instantly be available as a reaction. Also we should be able to add *custom* emojis/reactions. Again, just like Slack. Very simple request but very important when it comes to making a communication platform more personable, interesting, and fun.

Thank you for your continued feedback! We are happy to share that we have rolled out 800+ emojis to our Desktop and Web platforms, with Mobile rolling out in the coming months. This update includes 6 skin tone options, different genders for applicable emojis, and emojis featuring people with disabilities. Please note that you can also add native OS emojis using “Win + .” shortcut in Windows and “Cmd + Ctrl + Space” in MacOS.

Today, you can add a custom meme with your own caption in the Sticker/Memes feature. To learn more, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/send-an-emoji-gif-or-sticker-in-teams-174248c9-e64d-4de1-9f41-3199cc0751ad.

Thank you for adding custom captions. That's fun. But what we want is custom emojis and reactions, like Slack. We should be able to upload any custom png, jpg, gif.

As many others have said, we want ***custom*** emojis like in Slack. This seems like a really easy dumb feature for Slack but people absolutely love it. I don't see why MS can't do this as well.

This is the best suggestion for Teams, hands down. Most people who submit performance related requests probably don't understand all the nuance about platforms to upvote this, but this needs all the upvotes.

We are happy to share that Electron 10 is rolling out to the public ring now, so you should notice improvements. We expect overall performance of Teams to improve even further with upcoming fixes around the calling and meeting features We will share another update as soon as we are able to.

Updating to Electron 10 is cool and all, but Teams shouldn't be built on Electron at all. Why not use .Net? You would be dogfooding your own crossplatform platform and it would be *far faster* and lower resource consumption than Electron every could be.

Anything based on Chromium is a massive resource hog. Remember when we used to complain about bloated MS frameworks? We were so innocent then. We had no idea how bad Google would make it.

Slack runs on Electron, which is built on Chromium, which is a MASSIVE resource hog, yet it runs circles around Teams in terms of performance. Team is an embarrassment when it comes to performance.

When you can see the UI slowly redraw when resizing the window or switching to a new channel/team, there is something seriously wrong.

I don't understand how this doesn't have 10,000+ upvotes. Threaded conversations are dead simple and intuitive in Slack. The way Teams handles conversations is simply unintuitive, difficult to explain, and hard to keep up with.

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!
