The option to “discard” suggested contacts in your chat list is rolling out to users. We will be making further changes to make suggested contacts more relevant for new users in the future as well, so marking as partially completed. Thanks for your patience with this one.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:
- Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook
- Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams
- Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

The team is reviewing possibilities in this space but does not yet have a date on this. We will update when there is news to share.

This is actually a super important Teams feature that is required before it can have feature parity with Skype for Business. As mentioned with other comments, we are very keen to move ahead with this as a phone system, but we currently have to consider other options, as it's very important for our receptionists at each site managing large volumes of inbound calls with a custom software front end.
Please make this happen ASAP Microsoft!!!
Once support for Windows 10 native notifications is released, users who choose to use Windows notifications will be able to utilize Windows OS specific settings for the length of time to display notifications. Mac does not have an OS specific setting, so will not have the support.
This item is still under review. No new updates at this time.

If you’re not planning on using the class functionality in Teams, O365 IT Admins can remove the Assignments app in the Teams Admin Center under Teams apps > ‘Permission policies’.
You can set a user policy (remove it for a set of users) or a global one that removes the Assignments app for everyone in your tenant.
Before you do this, make sure to double check if any faculty are using Assignments. We’ve seen Assignments be used in all sorts of ways successfully, even without students. You can always add back Assignments by removing the policy.
