Thank you for your continued feedback. We are continuously improving the clients to use less memory and RAM.

The upgrade to Electron 10 has rolled out fully to the public at this point. Telemetry and testing has shown that this is helping to improve memory performance on the client.

We will continue to work on improvements, and will share more updates as they become available.

For more details on how Teams currently uses memory, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-memory-usage-perf.

Teams desktop app booted up and took up to 1.2G, then stabilized at around 650M. I applied all workarounds, including clearing cache, no changes. Comparatively, Google Chrome is at 600M with only one tab open.

The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!

Can Alex or someone else from Microsoft comment on where the implementation is at since Alex's last post in Dec 2019?

Yes, this would be very useful to us, since we use Teams for team communication and Azure Devops for our projects. That's exactly what is missing to bridge Teams and Azure Devops further.
