    Hi there, yes it is possible. Try this out:
    After you created the meeting, go to “meeting options” and change the presenter to “only me”. This way, all non-organizers are joining as an “attendee” meeting role, which cannot mute nor remove other participants.

    Set up your meeting - ensure it is scheduled, not 'meet now'.

    Once set up, click back into it (the calendar tab can be useful)

    Then you see the button for meeting options.

    Change the options - i.e. who can present etc.... (unfortunately just 'only me' or 'all) - but it is a click to 'promote' someone on the fly.... unfortunately no 'auto-record' option.

    Also, and this is the critical bit, schedule the meeting to repeat. Next week you get the same options by default.

    Unfortunately, no personal, or organisation wide, defaults. (Should have organisation-wide defaults that can be over-ridden if need be by a user)

    Job's done!

    Why can I set my background for a call in a team but not a one to one before I jump in? Why can I not have a default? It is maddening!

    This’d be great for schools with remote learning. I recently did some groupwork. I had to create a channel for each group, and manually assign the students. A pain.

    It’d be great to say ‘groups of 3’ and have channels made and kids assigned. Before creation, I could get an overview and move people around if needed.

    Functions like ‘talk to every channel at once, by voice or by chat’ (rather than expect everyone to also keep an eye on “general” as they worked) would be nice.

    As would ‘bring everyone back together (ideally with warning), and then removing the newly made channels (either once empty, or after a certain date - settable).

    As things stand, a groupwork can be a pain - and it should be automatable.

    Oh, yes please. I have so many disparate teams on the go, it is hard to see what’s new. Let me group the teams, and then collapse the groups.

    E.g. ‘Classes’ into one group, ‘Department’ into another, ‘Whole school’ into a third.

    Any activity that appears in a team gets passed up, so if the group is collapse to save space, the way the group name is displayed lets me know to open it up and look.

    Ideally, I’d be able to set notification policies by group, i.e. THIS group of teams doesn’t get to notify me between THESE hours or at all on THOSE days.

    1) A reminder prompt to say ‘do you want to record this?’ And prompt user
    2) To be able to set a policy, i.e. any 1-1 meeting between teacher and pupil.
    3) To be able to say when scheduling ‘record this meeting’

    Ideally you want default roles for different classes of user.

    I can also see the need for three layers:

    ‘Supervisor’ (can present, and also control mutes/change roles of others)
    ‘Presenter’ (can present only)
    ‘Attendee’

    The current ‘presenter’ role seems to be more what I would call ‘supervisor’. In a school, teachers would be the first role, students the last, and students who are presenting would be temporarily ‘promoted’.

    We are having some reports of attendees bypassing things and becoming presenters to cause mischief.... yet to verify how

    If presenting, I should be able to force my screen to 'go large' for people being presented to.

    Goodness, yes.

    I am remote teaching at the moment, and I want an easy way in teams to keep track of 'virtual attendance'. A repeating assignment that just says 'click here to 'hand in', that I can set to become available at time X, and close at time Y, and then copy itself to 'next working day' would save a lot of redundancy.

    Even a right click to 'duplicate this task to next day/week/month' would help with that if it updated the 'open, due and close' dates (but kept the times).

    This is unbelievably absent - and also, when I view participants, I don't see everyone in channel to invite, I have to remember each one individually - fine if there's four, not if there's thirty.

    It should be 'create a meeting', and then I can 'invite individuals' OR 'invite all members'

    When a year 10 class becomes a year 11 class, I should be able to use the OLD notebook. As things stand I have to copy to a new notebook (perhaps leaving people on the old one) or not have the old one linked but keep using it.

    I want to keep using the old one, but link the new class to it (the new class usually would have the same kids!)

    I’m trying to persuade the school not to re-do all the groups each year, but better if I didn’t have to rely on that.

    The team is making progress on showing Office 365 group calendars in Teams. We will share more details as we have them.

    Meanwhile, feel free to share what types of meetings do you create in the group calendars for classes and staff?

    Thank you all for your continued feedback on this feature! We are still evaluating options, so for now the ‘Posts’ tab remains the default first tab for every team.

    Great suggestions so far in the comments, but please do continue to share how you would use this feature so we can better understand the use case for our planning.

    .... and not just import, but actually move the notebook.

    I.e. if I have a two year course, the class is archived over the summer and a new class is made - I want to say 'continue to use the existing book' (if I import the old book, I'll have some people still looking at the old book, some on the new.... so I want to just continue to use the old one and link to the new group).
