We would prefer a separate setting that's MS Teams specific. Restricting O365 Group creation limits creation in many other areas of Office 365, not just Teams.

This is also an issue for us because our users are members of Teams from multiple organizations. Because they miss calls/chats when switching tenants, we tell them to use a browser to open Team Tenants they're guests in, so it's a problem they can't share their screen when doing that. Our issue wouldn't be so bad if people could stay logged into multiple tenants at the same time, or open multiple copies of the Teams app at the same time.

We've also found that because DND still allows messages to come through, people keep sending messages and then call when they don't get a response. DND is not respected in the mobile client (at least that's what my user says) so the call rings through. It'd be better if DND at least informed the sender that the recipient is on DND and may not see the message.

The ability to remove a user from group chats (including meeting chats) is now available on desktop, and coming soon to mobile.

How it works: A user can go to any group chat of 3 or more people and navigate to the roster and by hovering over any user you will see the “X”. Clicking on this will show a confirmation dialog. Then the user must select remove to remove the user.

What does everyone see: Everyone in the chat will see the control message that says “User A removed User B from the chat”.

What does the removed user see: The removed user will still have access to the chat history but will no longer see new messages after the point of removal and will not be able to compose messages or make any changes to the chat.

Note: This setting is controlled by your tenant admin, so may or may not…

Thank you so much for your support of the product. This request was particularly helpful and we appreciate your engagement in the surveys, comments and forum to help us design this feature. Please continue to submit ideas!

For this item, we’re making great progress. It has now entered TAP validation with a small group of tenants. Will let you know how that goes!

We're looking for reports about Device usage. We want to know what devices people are using with Teams to make phone calls. More specifically we want reports of what computer audio devices (built in Mic/speakers, wired headset, wireless headset, etc.), Physical Desk phone (make model, firmware, etc.), or conference room speakerphone devices that people use. I can see some of that when I drill into a specific phone call, but I don't see out of box reports for an overall view of that information.

This issue is in our backlog, but we wanted to share a workaround that may help in the meantime. You may run into this issue if your Outlook client is logged into a different account than your Teams client.

As a workaround, when you join the meeting, make sure your Outlook client and Teams client are logged into the same account that the meeting was scheduled from.

We just had this happen to a few users as well. I'm still collecting info about how they created the meting request and what it looks like in their calendar. This'll be a problem if it keeps happening.

We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.

Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.

I think this is our largest complaint. Our end users are Guests in other tenants or have full accounts in other tenants. When they are forced to switch tenants, they miss calls and messages in our tenant. This severely limits communication.

Our end users are looking to 3rd party tools to deal with that, and I'd really prefer MSFT just add this functionality.

It's been a month since the latest admin comment. Is there any newer update?

    Alex Carlock commented  ·

I don't log in with multiple accounts but I am a guest in other tenants. My biggest complaint is that when I switch between our corporate Teams and the one's I'm a Guest on, I lose all access to our corporate functionality: No chat with anyone, no phone calls, no access to review corporate and other documents at the same time. People have taken to using the Web client in In-Private to access Guest Teams so they can have our Corporate Teams open all the time. Not good.

Agreed. I was working in a document outside of Teams while having a conversation on a discussion board in Teams. Unless the other person @ messaged me, I didn't get a notification. Because I was in another application I didn't notice that the Discussion board turned bold. I'd like an option for a toast popup notification or at least for Teams to flash on the taskbar any time someone replies to a conversation I'm a part of.

I'd like it to show the name that comes from the PSTN, and show the name from the GAL or Personal contacts if that differs from the PSTN information. I'm still very surprised that Teams doesn't at least show the name that comes from the PSTN.

I agree. I'd like an option to silently notify me when a call comes in while I'm on a call. I'd also like the "hang up" button to ignore the call and let it ring a few more times, and then send the person directly to VM. I don't want people to know that I've sent them to VM.

I'm surprised this is still an issue. Microsoft needs to get on this one. It would be a quick win. Even searching in the Admin center suffers from this problem.

I'm seeing it too, but it's only under certain circumstances. I have my teams full screen (1920x1080 native resolution 24" Full HD), so I have a good amount of screen real estate. When someone shared their screen with me AND I have the right hand chat bar open, the screen share is pushed to the left behind the Teams Left Navigation bar. If I close the Chat window the Screen share again fits to the right of the Teams Navigation bar. Also, making the Sharing screen Full screen keeps it from being covered by the Teams navigation bar. So there's a workaround, but I'd prefer it if there were options to shrink the screen share to fit inside the fully viewable area of Teams, or allow us to scroll back and forth to get to the entire screen.
