Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to announce that Mac support for sharing system audio is now available to users who have opted into Public Preview.
Please see feature details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-public-preview-channel-include-computer-sound-on-mac/m-p/2107853.
You can learn more about the new Microsoft Teams Public Preview program here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreview, and Teams administrators can find documentation to manage which users will see the Public Preview option here: https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreviewAdmin
Enjoy!

As a workaround I have found that the HDMI audio capture can be selected as the microphone for a conference call which accomplishes this but it has to be manually switched each time through the settings. It would be really nice if the microphone could be changed "on the fly" in a meeting.

I have heard rumor that this is fixed in the next update to SRS v2 but when that update is going to be released I do not know.

Thank you for your continued feedback. Screen sharing on Chrome and Chromium-based Edge is fully supported. For more information, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams#browsers.
For Safari and Firefox, only incoming screen sharing is currently supported. Safari outgoing screen sharing is on the backlog, and Firefox outgoing screen sharing is under review.

Thank you for your votes and comments on this feature. The team is in the process of finalizing designs for deleting private chat threads. I will update as we have more progress to share.

Poor audio or video is usually a result of poor network conditions or device selection in my experience. Teams in of itself has great audio and video quality but it will only be as good as what you connect it to.
