Microsoft - Last posting above was from March 14, 2019 saying integration with Outlook is planned. Can you give us an update on this?

This is a comment posted in the Microsoft Tech Community as well - we just got the Raise Hand feature and are very glad about the addition. However, the Presenter experience is still very hampered in several respects, *especially* in these SIP times where many of our users don't currently have the luxury of multiple monitors --.https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/presenter-alerted-to-questions-during-meeting/m-p/1133883

1.Most of our presenters need to use the Share Desktop mode. Without a separate monitor, they don't see or even get alerted to someone either posting something to the Meeting Chat or (now) raising their hand

2.To make matters even more complicated, the Raise Hand indicator doesn't show up in the Chat panel, only in the Participants panel) and when you're sharing screen, it's often in full-screen mode.) So even though for some important meetings we've had a second person monitor the chat window and verbally communicate questions to the Presenter, now the person monitoring Chat can't see the Raised Hands. Do we have to have a 3rd person monitor the Participants panel too....? I think you can see where this is problematic.

3.It seems that all sharing modes should support what the Share PowerPoint option does; the ability for the Presenter to have the chat panel open without it being visible to the audience. AND the Raise Hand feature should post an indicator into the Chat as well.

Presenters are sharing in desktop mode. Without a separate monitor, they cannot see (nor do they see the alert) if someone is raising their hand. So now a second person has to monitor the chat window as well as the questions from raised hands. During these times of working from home, lots of users are using only 1 monitor so this is a real problem.

try this instead  ·  Suphatra responded

Currently we have Teams defaulted to show you the first (up to five) channels ever created. If you want to add more channels to your left rail view, just click the ellipses next to the channel name and select “Favorite”. When you favorite the channel, it will then be “pinned” to your left rail under that team name.

Try that and let me know if that meets your needs!

I have many users who are confused that channels are "hidden" at all. They have no idea what is being posted under those channels and are missing important notifications. I agree with everyone else that all channels should be displayed automatically and let the user decide which ones to "hide" for themselves. Otherwise, you have nothing but confusion for the users that are new to Teams.
