Thank you for your patience. We are thrilled to that replying to a chat message in the desktop client is now available as part of our Public Preview. It is expected to roll out to the public ring over the next several weeks.

Please see feature details here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-public-preview/now-in-public-preview-quoted-reply-for-desktop-web-coming-soon/td-p/2761594

For details on switching to the Microsoft Teams Public Preview version, please see : https://aka.ms/TeamsPublicPreview.

We look forward to your preview feedback!

Can Microsoft provide a comment or an update on this? I'm very surprised to see no activity on this. It's been a common feature in Webex, Zoom and others for quite a long time. With the shift to work from home, a feature like this is all the more important. For example, my webcam is mounted along the top rim of my external display. When I'm in a video meeting, other participants have their video tiles along the bottom with no way to change this. Because the tiles are along the bottom it always appears as though I'm not looking forward. Being able to relocate the video tiles along the top solves that problem easily. But the point is to give the end user the flexibility to choose. Top, bottom, left, right or even pop-out, and also let the user choose their default position in the Settings menu. This is video meeting 101 these days :-)

We need this urgently. It's basic PBX/Call Center functionality that I'm surprised has been overlooked. Can someone from Microsoft jump in here and provide an update?

This feature probably should have been available on day one. But either way, MS Teams users that use the client for calling must have the option to select more than one phone field. Especially now with so many new users coming on board. This will be an "in demand" feature. There had to be a lot of feedback even from MS internal users about this.

I think this should be working. I'm in a PowerPoint-initiated Teams Meeting right now and I see the Presenters mouse pointer. Hopefully someone from MS jumps in here....
