Make Conversations exportable as Email!
Then all the Backup can be done through the means of the Email Path.
It´s very important to have a means to export Conversations, because of legal requirements.
Before Teams, Users would work in SharePoint and Communicate by Mail.
Backup of a Project could be done by an Backup of the Sitecollection and the Communication during the Project by exporting to an PST File and/or by Server Backup of the users Mailbox.
We had means to get to the Data after the project ended officially.
With a hard limit of 500.000 Teams in a Tenant, companies must make sure not to reach this limit soon, this is why unused Teams need to be deleted. Data (Documents) can be exportet and backed up somewhere else, but the communication during a project will currently be deleted. This will surly pose an issue when a reference to a communication thread and/or decision is needed somewhat later.
So please make an export/forward to Email for an conversation Thread possible.
Printing option has been asked a lot, too, by my users.
Multi-window chat is in testing. I hope to have great news regarding rollout to the public rings soon.
We are working to ensure that multi-window and other future multi-window experiences are of the highest quality when they release.
I would like to completely hide this notification from Members. Only Owners should be able to see who left, because this is Member Management.
If users see those messages, a "self fullfilling prophecy" can happen. Others may think, "oh, he/she left this team, maybe I should leave, too, if she does not find it interesting". And then one after another leaves because, yeah, the leading bull gave the sign.
This is no info a normal member needs to see.
Creating a Task from a Teams conversation is a must have!
Task should be able to be categorized either as:
1. Personal Task -> To-Do
2. Project/Team Task -> Planner
AND added to the Outlook Calender as a Time Blocker (automatically).
Please provide toggle in the Teams Team Settings for Team Owners to choose whether to unhide the Group calender or not.
Please make it possible to disable Wiki on new Team creation by default.
And the first sentence above is a great idea, too.
This feature item is still in the works. We will keep you posted as we have new info from the feature team.
And as you are about, please mark the Owner of the Team with a sign, so everyone knows at a glance when an owner is around to assist the members.
Unfortunately we hit some snags and this has moved back to “working on it”. The team is working to make some corrections and I hope to have a release date in the near future. I’ll keep you posted with what I hear.
Please add a config Button to a private Team to make it discoverable in Search. Only if this config Setting is set, a private Team will appear in a search for a Team. Per default, a private Team should be non-searchable.
A List of all searchable Teams should be available, like all public Teams and all private Teams with the "discoverable" config flag set.
Clicking on the join button in an Outlook reminder takes you to the browser to launch Teams today. The work to bypass the browser and directly launch Teams is being worked on. We’ll update when we have more details.
