@Warren,
Thank you for keeping us updated. Please keep the dev team appraised of the rather intense desire for this feature.
I look forward to a most positive update on this.

The option to “discard” suggested contacts in your chat list is rolling out to users. We will be making further changes to make suggested contacts more relevant for new users in the future as well, so marking as partially completed. Thanks for your patience with this one.

For me suggested contacts show ghost contacts that are the emails but not the actual contacts when they sign in and talk. So using those to message some one gets me nowhere.
It's nice that it's suggesting a contact, but it would be better if the contact wasn't a ghost and was usable.

The team has not made a decision on whether to move forward with this feature. We will update when we have new status to share.

It really makes everything much more natural to have embedding as a built in option. Not doing so takes you back at least a decade.
I look forward to the implementation of this feature.

Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

@Warren I would personally use it for multiple pinned items not unlike in discord.
HOWEVER
It's social common place in discord to ignore pinned items unless told to look there. I recommend thinking up a way to make pinned items have a flag for being unread separate of the message itself.
Just an idea, pinned items are highly useful for referring back to previous conversations or pieces of information so having multiple would be really useful, but a way to know that there was something that needed to be read would also help.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.
Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

You should experience significant improvements in copy & paste of images within Teams, as well as to & from Teams. We are aware of a few remaining issues, but the most common cases are resolved.
Thanks again for your patience on this one.

We are all excited for a compact chat layout.
