Great idea, i'd say many people get confused thinking they can just add attendees initially when creating a live event, perhaps that's why MS may want to keep it separate and thus also after having created an live event points out where the attendee link is.

Another great idea would be to provide a native Join button for calendar meeting invites that contain an attendee join link.

please please allow for panel discussion more than 1 camera.

Ideally via providing a new layout for multi cameras, at least 2-4.
Perhaps dynamically adjust the layout based on amount of cameras, e.g. side by side for two, with three two rows with one in the middle, with four on in each corner etc.

Yes please, implement the Q&A in meetings to be moderated by the Event Organizer, ideally let him promote other participants as co-organizers or Q&A moderators :)

There is definitely a point where choosing live event over regular meetings is not desirable as it's listen mode only and a delay!

in the mean time any workaround via registry key?

This is really annoying extra work, worse one can't activate it after having scheduled the event, not even before it has been made live or just opened!

One has to delete the event and re-schedule a new one!

I can understand this to be a more complex implementation given when the event is live this function would have to refresh the interface, it would be ideal of course as people can forget to enable it, especially since there seems to be currently no way to have it enabled by default!

At least allow us to enable it even when one has opened the event but not made it live yet, or even just beforehand within the calendar entry!

    WORKAROUND: Delete and Reschedule, Nice!

Both functions are desperately needed, just haven't got much exposure as people/orgs are probably slow to adopt live events for proper webinars and townhalls/department meetings in stead or regular meetings.

Surprised not many people have encounter this issue or realized the implications of this.

Why doesn't Teams recognize ones own meeting link when opening them despite being currently in another site?! Makes no sense.

    Implications

    1) One can't host meetings as they get the "admit" prompt (and one can't admit them self.

    2) Joining meeting invites will also require to be admitted (if lobby is enabled) AND also one will appear as an "Outside your organization" contact, thus might want to switch either before hand or ones connected then via the prompt on the top or the drop down menu as per usual.
