Thanks for your feedback – the increase in votes recently has been noticed. We are working on this feature and are hoping to release within a quarter. We’ll share more updates as we get closer to the release.

    Thanks.

Yes please! This is a real WOW-factor with Zoom - this feature would be a big help to drive adoption.

Teams is great, and every single one of our users has access... but.. the four active video limit is horrible. I do not want to support Zoom - I want to keep all users focused on Teams - but pressure is building to buy Zoom for some users. Any updates? In general, users are confused by the video functions in Teams. I have tested Zoom, and it is super-easy and obvious how the videos work - changing to grid view for example.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

See this post for more information:

Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

Teams is built on SharePoint Online - which has hard-wired several critical settings like "default language". We have been struggling with this since we launched Teams, since our tenant was setup by our head office... in Sweden. I can tell you that our non-Swedish speaking employees - and indeed, all of our many partners that we invite into projects in Teams - not so impressed to receive notification emails in Swedish. Please Microsoft, do not hard-wire language choices. Anywhere.

yes, essential to be able to remove a Teams meeting without cancellation. There are many use cases for this:
    - Teams meeting was added by mistake
    - change to Teams Live Event
    - change to 3rd-party channel i.e. YouTube, Zoom, etc.

Of course, we can edit the invitation and delete the Teams meeting details.. but this does not reflect in Teams calendar or Outlook calendar.

+1 - any updates? I have very frustrated users who just want a calendar - any calendar - that shows things relevant to the Team.

A calendar function for a team with guests was one of the first questions I got as we prepare to roll-out Teams. How much could be achieved by using Planner? Guest access to planner looks great.

+1 for this feature - so confused that it downloads to a local folder with no options to change this behaviour. A modern save as dialog box is urgently needed - and that plays nice on Windows and Mac.

+1 for flexibility - but this may not be the best option - sometimes Yammer, sometimes SharePoint - I don't know if a public channel for updates makes so much sense, wrong tool.

+1 for anything which adds flexibility - but who owns this shared channel? and when can other people see the channel or not? I would not like to see 100's of shared channels in my Teams view..

+1 yes nice feature - but... there needs so be an owner of the shared channel, correct? how does this compare with allowing people to join a specific channel and not a whole team? things could get confusing

+1 for this feature - flexibility is important. But, also good to know who has permission where - so this needs to be done carefully to avoid confusion i.e. a guest to one channel won't be able to see a file in another channel.

Our company also needs proper and correct attendance info for Teams meetings. This is available from Teams Live Events - but we cannot run Live Events for every meeting we have.

Agreed, an automatic record option - that could be set as a default by tenant, user or meeting - would be very welcome. There are many Teams meetings that do not automatically need recordings, but equally there are many kinds of meetings - advisory panels, boards, etc. - that really need to be recorded by default.
