Could not agree more!
Enforce that a new conversation has a subject - else the conversation becomes a messy trail of chat messages that is hard to follow and does not take advantage of the roll-up.We too have enforced this internally using an honour and audit system, but it is something new users need to be reminded often.
The email analogy given above is perfect.

Yes! If there was a way to configure the channel so ALL new conversations needed a subject line to be filled in.
We have a policy in place that says "Always start a New Conversation by clicking the format icon, else we will find it hard to role up the conversations without knowing their subject". If this is not done, it becomes very unmanageable and harder to search for previous subjects within the same channel.
A subject for a conversation overcomes the limitation of not having channels inside channels. -

We are currently testing this feature internally, and will share an update as soon as it’s available. To learn more, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/sharing-files-in-teams.

Has anyone noticed how if you get a link from Teams and then try and use this in a SharePoint list....SharePoint says "Invalid URL value. A URL field contains invalid data. Please check the value and try again".
Why provide a URL link to Teams that SharePoint does not handle?

So click on the Teams button (in the system tray) 5 times in a row to activate the DEV view of Teams? (right click the Teams icon in the system tray after activating DEV view).
Can you close this door in the next release...I don't want my staff playing around with the features provided and raising IT tickets.....

The team has not made a decision on whether to move forward with this feature. We will update when we have new status to share.

I tend to not agree with this request. Teams and Chat are not the same because Chat does not have a subject.
I would rather rename "Teams" on the left sidebar to "Conversations" as it can be quite complicated explaining to some new users the difference between a new chat and a new conversation. Clearly they are not the same - chat you can not have a subject and roll-up the conversation.

Group Calendar is a priority for the team, and the feature team is continuing work on it. You’ll start to see some incremental improvements. We look forward to sharing more details and timeframes soon.
Thanks!

The team is working on fixing date/time format to honor your computer settings. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Well, it is not FULLY available on mobile today as suggested by Alex.
The reply is only possible in the CHAT and not in a Teams conversation.
The "Teams_Reply_To_Message.png" only shows a reply in a CHAT on a mobile BUT not for a Teams conversation on the mobile....as a thread in either can be hard to follow.
A reply to a specific entry is what is needed FOR BOTH a CHAT and CONVERSATION (Teams) in the mobile App and of course BOTH apply for the desktop too.
So, Microsoft....please as a REPLY in BOTH Chat and Teams conversations for the desktop and mobile App.
