Thank you for your feedback! We are happy to share that users who write different messages in different languages, will now see spellchecking relevant to the language they are actively using when typing a message while using the Microsoft Teams Desktop App on Windows.
Please see details here – https://support.microsoft.com/office/check-your-spelling-in-multiple-languages-0e269374-0cac-4a22-a377-53f01e05a6d4

It would be good if it could spellcheck in English correctly. It thinks I've, you've, should've etc. are misspellings. It's also crazy that you can't add words, like your own company and product names.

I agree 100%, it keeps giving me video on, audio off by default, which makes no sense at all.

Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

Teams appears to obey the setting from the Camera app now. However, the setting should be available in Teams because no one would normally use the Camera app for anything.
