Is there an update on when this will be deployed? Businesses evolve constantly and we need to ability to move a channel from one Teams to another.

And when creating a meeting in the Teams app, this setting should be respected as well.

Unfortunately because of changing priorities, this feature was moved to the backlog. The team hopes to pick it up again in the near future.

Thank you for your continued feedback. Screen sharing on Chrome and Chromium-based Edge is fully supported. For more information, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/limits-specifications-teams#browsers.
For Safari and Firefox, only incoming screen sharing is currently supported. Safari outgoing screen sharing is on the backlog, and Firefox outgoing screen sharing is under review.

@admin @alex I just tried screen sharing on Edge and it still says my browser isn't supported. Is this being rolled out to certain tenants only? First release customers only?

Especially useful when working with external folks who don't have local admin rights and therefore can't install the full desktop application.

This is currently in internal testing rings at Microsoft, and the feature team is targeting a release to the public in early Q2.
Stay tuned!
