That's *complete* ********, Suphatra and Microsoft. Emails, especially those residing in Outlook, have an identical legal precedent. If you can allow emails to be deleted, you can allow chat threads to be deleted.
Worse, we, as an organization, take GDPR requirements very seriously. When an employee leaves out organization and requests a right to be forgotten, his/her chat threads *MUST* be deleted.
I don't know whether this is a cop-out by your engineering team, or pure laziness by your product team or misinformation by your legal/eDiscovery team, but I see this as the beginning of considering a move *out* of MS O365 and into a competitor.

As stated in the last update, the ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is being implemented in stages for Desktop. Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully, and Mac will begin rolling out soon. Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements, and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow. We’ll keep you posted!

Note: The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today.

    Thanks,
    Alex & the Teams team

Microsoft Teams team, a 2-year delay in implementing such a critical feature (Still on the backlog?) is unacceptable. Determining the "best solution" for weeks/months/years? We're a Microsoft shop, but the problems with the Office products are piling up rapidly, and with no vision or roadmap from MS Office in sight, we're rapidly considering migrating out - definitely more rapidly than the Teams development team is taking to get off the starting blocks.

if you have an existing post that you want to show in a different channel, you can edit the message and cross-post. This will add the top-level post to the different channel, but will not include the full set of replies. We will keep this request in mind as we evolve the cross-posting feature in the future and update if the status changes.

Details on cross posting can be found here: https://support.office.com/article/cross-post-a-channel-conversation-in-teams-9c1252a3-67ef-498e-a7c1-dd7147b3d295.

Hi everyone, it looks like this bug was fixed. Are you still experiencing this problem? If so, email me directly at sparavi @ Microsoft (dot) com.

    Thanks,

I have to second this requirement. I've pushed Teams across my organization of over 250 employees, and almost *everyone* (>90%) of them are reporting that mobile notifications simply don't work. This is unacceptably flawed - how can MS develop an IM app, and not have notifications work?

Please add to the comments if you are experiencing this. I would like to know the OS and device you are using as well.

I’ll bring this feedback to the feature team and help get this investigated.

Once support for Windows 10 native notifications is released, users who choose to use Windows notifications will be able to utilize Windows OS specific settings for the length of time to display notifications. Mac does not have an OS specific setting, so will not have the support.

This is unacceptably flawed - how can MS develop an IM app, and not have notifications work consistently?

Almost everyone reports that they have to open the app, and navigate to it to see new messages - notifications to teams on new messages don't work - period.

I have to second this requirement. I've pushed Teams across my organization of over 250 employees, and almost *everyone* (>90%) of them are reporting that mobile notifications simply don't work. Compared to this, WhatsApp and Slack notifications on the mobile platforms work every time, flawlessly.
