This item is still on the backlog. I will continue to track this item and provide updates as soon as I get new updates.
The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

Yes- it's a team level setting, so it has to not be turned off by the team owner, but you can just tag the team or channel:
Allow @team or @[team name] mentions (this will send a notification to everyone on the team)
Allow @channel or @[channel name] mentions (this will send a notification to everyone who has favorited the channel being mentioned)
Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:
- Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook
- Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams
- Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook
