Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.
My main issue is not with CPU or memory; but with speed. It takes 10-20 seconds just to click on a different Team or to go to Chats app. Its so painful, yet the website is much much faster ... how, in this day and age, can a Desktop app be so much slower than a web site (not to mention the web apps have more features)??
As stated in the last update, the ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is being implemented in stages for Desktop. Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully, and Mac will begin rolling out soon. Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements, and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow. We’ll keep you posted!
Note: The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today.
Alex & the Teams team
Need to have notifications span all accounts so you know to go into Teams and read a conversation or whatever; clicking the notification should change the account as necessary
I agree, this is solely missing as Skype and Skype for Business both store chat history. I dont want it saved to Outlook but stored within the Team system somewhere infinitely
