This would be nice, but not cropping out the people that are already there on the room system, which currently happens with more than 2 video streams due to not fitting to frame, would be a great place to start :-)

"Try this instead"? The suggestion is not applicable to the conference room scenario with a Microsoft Room System. We need a solution for the room system application. Defaulting to fit to frame would be an improvement where the room system does not allow the same features as the desktop client. For meetings between board rooms the current solution where people on the other end are cropped out frustrates our execs and teams. Alex, Microsoft, there must be a simple fix for this?! Thanks

Thank you for your feedback! The team has reviewed this request and has added it to our backlog for both Standard (Public) to Private and Private to Standard (Public) channel conversion. We will share an update as soon as it’s available.

Agreed. We should be able to create a meeting from within Teams with anyone in our mailbox contacts, not only within the organization / in Exchange. Today this is only possible with Guests or using Outlook.

As noted this happens automatically when moving to Teams only mode. You can also do it as a point in time conversion with PowerShell. This is done by running the Start-CsExMeetingMigration PS command from the Skype Powershell module (one with support for MFA is available):

    Start-CsExMeetingMigration -Identity ashaw@contoso.com -TargetMeetingType Teams

You can check the status of the request using the Get-CsMeetingMigrationStatus command.

Skype meetings convert to Teams after 2-3 hours (the status is pending until then).

    See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/skype/start-csexmeetingmigration?view=skype-ps

You can also right-click the video stream you want to make widescreen and choose Fit to frame (English label).

Instead of voting for this one, I recommend to vote for this one which has the momentum:

I'm not sure how long it has been there, but this is now available in the Windows 10 client by right-clicking on the video stream you want to make widescreen (Fit to frame).

Agreed. You cannot even link to a message such as the one that is posted to the meeting conversation when you start creating meeting notes.

I have created a new request for #2 here (#1 is no longer applicable as Microsoft has added other options for channels): https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/38885296-separate-permission-to-start-conversation-and-repl

#1 and #2 are now available. For #3 vote for this (currently on the backlog): https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/31661131-video-screen-size-when-sharing-screen
