For reasons of backward compatibility and Office365 transparency, export / import one-way - minimum - into Teams is important for productivity.
To me, the import of any Sharepoint library should be seamless, and I do not care if it uses a compressed folder. (Meantime the get-around is to simply link the external library with the Team, which works VERY nicely, web app or desktop app). There are advantages in leaving it on the Sharepoint which include not having to add people you do not want in the Team but letting them stick with their existing permissions for the Sharepoint library.

Would suggest this user may means vertical space (distance between content). However, I would like to draw attention to the same thing for HORIZONTAL (width based) space being empty unusable real estate the left side of the screen for channels.
It would be VERY nice if there could also be an adjustable grab bar as per standard behaviour available with this type of menu of options and displayed content.
Even so, the wasted space would still exist in the Channel activity area...
Great job Teams TEAM!! Brilliant app. Keep it coming! ;)
