One of those "why is this a thing". +1 to give presenters / organizers the ability to control meetings. As an IT Admin its painful to have to tell my users that they can't in larger meetings keep people from being distracting with video. Its great they can be forced to mute now but why wasn't video taken into consideration at the same time?

    Feedback for devs...

    Its pretty disappointing.

    Forced to make meetings
    No access from Outlook
    No Month view
Some people are getting meeting invites while others are not

We wanted a time off calendar, we dont need meetings for that. Not including a month view is just pure laziness. We want / need the ability to not send invites which could be addressed by having a appointment (non-meeting) option. After waiting so long for this basic functionality it was a major let down and I hope you can fix this. Its the #1 request by my users. Just make calendars in the teams mailbox and expose them via a tab (AND OUTLOOK).

Hey Microsoft, while "thinking" about it, also think about a per channel owners option to enforce the use of subject titles, it drives me crazy when people dont use them.

Microsoft if you are listening... how about simply allowing me (an owner) to add a subject to an existing thread. I can clean up posts as we go no problem if given the tooling to do so.

Thank you for your reports. We released client and service updates this week, that address many MacOS-specific performance issues. We are also aware of recent performance issues with Microsoft Teams meetings, especially on laptops and when using external monitors.

The team is working to resolve these issues. In the meantime, please find troubleshooting information here: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/known-issues/teams-slow-video-meetings-laptops-4k.

Just do it, sure whiteboards has overlap but give the people what they want.

I agree this should be an option but even just simply being able to rename dial in numbers to a persons name (or better yet being able to link to a real user) should be in the tooling.

I dont think you need to allow renaming the general channel, after all what would you call it, the team name?? Instead I think the UX should replace "general" with the name of the team (just for the general channel) in labels across the entire teams UX. This or simply make most places where channel name is referenced two lines and include team and channel name. Its upsetting to be a n geneal channel and have no idea for which team at a glance. This is a fairly core issue to the fact Teams themselves are the channel by design. Given how teams is structured, channels (which I teach my users to refer to as sub channels) is a a confusing blight alot of times. We tell our users they are for information management not people management as they dont have tags or membership. I can definitely see how this paralyzes you. You will upset people on ether side with any action, I would simply say renaming of the general channel is a workaround to the core issue which is a lack of clear definition of where you are in the UX based on labels saying "general" focus on that.

I like the left right but some of my users dont. Dont be like apple, give them a choose in the settings ui. Seems a easy thing given its just CSS.

Thank you for your feedback! We are updating this as “Partialy Done” as our first step to solving for pinned posts has been released! Pinned posts allows users from a team to pin a message for everyone in the channel to be able to easily reference. While any message can be pinnable, we expect our users to use this feature to pin information like channel guidelines or important announcements. We know this doesn’t solve all pinning scenarios, and that there is still a need to make this easier for users to find, especially within the message list. We will share another update as soon as it is available.

I am displeased that this went from being released back into the backlog. This can't be that hard to add and its critically important to bootstrapping new teams. Low handing fruit should continue to be developed. Is this yet another thing held up due to an overarching desired to do as little UX work as possible until you dump electron.js for react? Speaking as a Teams IT Admin who is working with far too many developers coming in from Slack land, they are simple blown away with how many small stupid easy to code UX items are simply not up to snuff. Please take time to put some UX polish on all of teams, those with the loudest voices are deeply upset at things they see as easy to add not being done, this being one of them. Still love you and the teams development group but please set aside a percentage of development for the non critical lower hanging fruit things like things.

Its amazing to me just how awesome Teams can be and have a polar opposite like this. This is simply lazy code that should be corrected.
