CSS Commercial Escalations posting on behalf of 200-seat O365 Broad Commercial Customer:
Users need the Collapse/Expand settings to be retained while navigating in Teams; they are transient now and are not retained for the user profile.
Microsoft Escalations team submitting on behalf of Broad Commercial Customer (200 seats):
A. Useability - Critical issue for My Org- Chat window is too big. If it could be popped out to a smaller window I would leave open in the corner of my desktop would be perfect.
B. Useability - Critical Issue for My Org - It is difficult to go to a plan then to chat, back to the plan, back to chat. Having the pop out chat would fix that.
We cannot effectively guide the Team members toward effective use of a specific Tab in a Channel if we cannot make it the default user landing tab for that Channel. With no ability to even send a link to a Tab, the default member experience for that team is not configurable at all. If we cannot provide a link to a Tab in a Channel, then it is a must to be able to set a Default Tab for each Channel. Conversations are not the central goal of many teams.
It is impossible to use Channels for many use cases without ability to Moderate the traffic and organize according to a specific recurring cycle. For example, we want to support a monthly change management cycle of change request posting, reviews, discussions and approval/rejections. Once that cycle is complete for a specific Conversation, it needs to be archived. Without moderation features, we cannot use the Teams app effectively for this purpose.
This feature is still in the backlog.
This is needed badly, especially in such a basic scenario where you would want the landing page to be the "Wiki" tab to give the new member instructions on how to use the Teams Channel, rules of engagement, etc. Thanks!
