Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

Teams using 1GB of RAM idle. Not even chatting or calling anyone.
It's kinda a joke now what a resource hog it is and at the same time still laggier than any other electron app I've used.Oliver Rivett-Carnac supported this idea ·

The performance of the desktop app is definitely something of an issue. Generally it just doesn't feel very smooth and "snappy".
There are noticeable delays switching from Teams to Meetings, etc

I still get messages while set to Do Not Disturb! What is the point?

Thank you for your continued feedback. As many people have pointed out, this is available on mobile today. Support for replying to a specific message is on the backlog for desktop. I’ll let you know when we have progress to share. Thanks.

Unfortunately because of changing priorities, this feature was moved to the backlog. The team hopes to pick it up again in the near future.

WTF how does this feature take almost a year and is still not done...

I've found that Teams seems much smoother in the new Microsoft Edge. Doesn't seem quite as memory intensive and it feels snappier and more consistent.
Maybe I am just starting out fresh and over time performance will degrade , but if that's the case then they need to look into why performance gets worse over time. It shouldn't.
I guess using the web app makes me wonder why they don't offer it as a progressive web app like Outlook.
For now I've given up on the desktop client.
