Hi — My apologies for the delay in updating this item. We rolled out a fix a year ago for a specific issue of status changing to away in Teams when you were still active on the device. We thought this had fixed the “incorrect status” issue. From comments below, it sounds like people are still seeing issues.
If you are still having issues, it would be super helpful if you can capture logs by typing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 1, and send the file from your downloads folder along with device info and detailed repro steps to email@example.com.

WHY is this on the backlog? It's basic functionality in Skype for Business. No one in our company knows what's going on anymore, and half the time the status is inaccurate and shows someone as active when they aren't!
We acknowledge the demand for this capability and are exploring the best possible solutions to enable this.

This feature request is still being actively worked upon. Good progress is being made, but I cannot share any additional details at this time.
While we work on our Whiteboard you can also try the third party whiteboard app Freehand by Invision that can be found by clicking the Store icon from within Teams and go to the app gallery.

The feature team is still reviewing, there is lots of discussion about this item and I hope to have a decision soon.
If you build this, it'd be amazing if it could crash less often than the full version of Outlook. However, our company relies heavily on the Dynamics CRM plug-in as well as tasks and the calendar, so please don't take away functionality by integrating the two.
This feature request is still being reviewed. The team is working hard to make numerous changes with regards to notifications, but they haven’t forgotten about this item.

Our company just moved from Skype for Business to Teams, and it appears that sounds and banners do not occur when the Teams window is open to a chat with the sending user but Teams is not the active window. Therefore, replies and follow-ups are constantly being missed, an issue that didn't occur with Skype. Please update the banner and sound notifications so that they occur anytime the Teams window is not the active one! In addition, please add blinking to the taskbar icon as we had with Skype so that the notifications aren't as easily missed, and allow the banner to linger longer. Otherwise, we actually LOSE productivity because we constantly have to click back into Teams to see if someone replied (or we miss communications entirely, which is the opposite of what we were aiming for by moving to Teams).
