I'd like to see it be something more substantial than Activity feed. Such as

    A) a red dot over the top of the assignments button on the left menu.

    B) a teams message or email that includes the rubric & comment

Thanks everyone for your feedback on this. As more educators look for ways to create secure assessments (especially remotely) this is one of the options we are investigating.

Thank you everyone for the additional feedback on this feature request! We’ve read all your comments and are currently investigating what we can do to help.

I've read the comments below. Some a related to this request. But some actually be bases upon the idea of assigning assignments to specific groups of people.

I think the better solution for this would be to use the member tagging feature which already exists. Then when assigning the task you setit for specific member tags. (this feature doesnt yet exist)

Hello everyone, a quick update on our work to integrate Teams Assignments with the Microsoft Calendar - its coming! We’ll provide an update shortly with dates. We know this has been a top request for some time and there is a team working on bringing this to Teams for EDU as soon as we can.

Awesome idea. Great to hear Justin's team are onto it. This will help out students alot.

The actual teams calendar is rather primitive and lack color etc. So whilst your at if you could spruce that up too it would be great.

For teachers that are in only 6 or less subjects it will also help them.

For someone like me adding assignments to my calendar might make my already unreadable calendar even worse!
I'm in hundreds of teams accross the school and there's no way to unsubscribe to channel meetings. As an owner

Thank you for all of the feedback around this feature! We are reviewing what the best path forward is for this.

Just so everyone knows in the meantime, teachers can absolutely review any student attached or distributed work in Assignments even if students have not clicked the ‘Turn in’ button. Some of the comments also mention that the work might not be done digitally and submitted a different way, students can also Turn in the assignment without attaching any files/resources or can use the Teams mobile app to take a photo of their paper-based work to submit digitally.

Finally, when you return the assignment as a teacher (even without the student turning in) the feedback loop is also closed. Hope this helps.

    1. As stated last time, based on the volume of recent feedback, we fast-tracked adding the ability for meeting organizers to end a meeting for all participants with the click of a button one-time. This was released to the public ring today.
    1. In addition, the team has begun working on an option requiring everyone other than the meeting organizer to go thru the lobby. Once that feature is available, attendees will be placed in the lobby when rejoining the meeting, the setting will be available in meeting options for each meeting. Please see this UV item – https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053/suggestions/39962434.
    1. If, instead of looking for a per meeting control, you are looking for admin level control to prevent students from starting any meeting or any calls without educators present, and wants to apply this control regardless of whether a meeting organizer remembers to change the lobby option, please vote on this UV…

    Hi Gordon.

It's great to see how serious your team are working towards improving Camera security/privacy rules within teams. Reading through this uservoice is full of great suggestions.

I've created a related uservoice about privacy settings here.. https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053-schools-and-universities/suggestions/40247500-privacy

Thank you for all the feedback. Unfortunately we need to temporarily disable this new feature on web and desktop to address an issue that has been found. A fix is underway and we will update here when the new feature is rolled back out. Thank you for your patience.

This feature request is being reviewed by the feature team. No new details to share at this time.

Meanwhile, feel free to share why you need this in class teams / staff teams, and what you need to see (ie # read / list of users read / timestamp of read) and for what purpose.

Hi all, thanks for the feedback thus far on attendance tracking.

We would love further details from you to better understand what you are looking for in an attendance tracking feature and to address this as fast as possible:

    1. Are you looking to “add a tab”? (original request)
    2. Are you looking for a Gradebook-like experience to track student attendance throughout the class?
    3. Will this be used primarily for online classes and online training, or needed for physical classrooms too?
    4. If you would like the ability to download the student attendance list from within a Teams meeting, could you please upvote this related UserVoice feedback: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053/suggestions/39969796

We look forward to hearing from you!
