You should experience significant improvements in copy & paste of images within Teams, as well as to & from Teams. We are aware of a few remaining issues, but the most common cases are resolved.
Thanks again for your patience on this one.
This is a frustrating bug (I'm assuming it's a bug or at least an unimplemented feature).
The team is working on addressing remaining issues.
I would like this to be a configurable notification option, like in Discord. Some people want Teams to appear in the task bar and flash when they receive a message. Others prefer not to have an overt distraction. In our organisation almost everyone wants the flashing task bar. Even if the machine was locked and they were AFK for a while. The need to know there have been messages!
I also thought the red dot in the systray was an indicator that Teams thinks I'm in a meeting based on my calendar. I do find this helpful, but I also want to know when I've received messages while I've been away. The task bar should flash and it would be great to have a small icon indicating activity in the systray too. Even better if it had a count on it like what appears on the taskbar (which should be flashing!).
Would love this feature. We frequently have to link to folders or resources that are on our network even though we have moved a lot of our stuff to the cloud. Links to drivers or program installer usually.
Thank you for the feedback. Changing the default setting is under review by the feature team, and your feedback is very useful as they are evaluating.
This is still not a thing? No one in my organisation wants to use the "Teams" part of Teams because it's too cumbersome. You have to manually follow each channel yourself, it's unclear which channels you are following, and notifications in Teams channels aren't clear. Activity feed is terrible, you should be able to just see which channels have updated content like in Discord.
Teams does not provide any notification when someone posts to a Team channel. We have people not realising that someone's said something in a channel because people expect to have a notification that this happens. No one constantly checks Teams to see if there has been any activity.
Could there be a banner notification at least on a "per-Team" basis telling us someone has posted something to one of our channels?
At a minimum, some kind of generic notification that activity has occurred within any one of your Teams would be useful.
As the last status states, we have been testing for several months. Although many people have asked for this feature, we received a similar amount of feedback from other users that they prefer the Teams notifications and don’t want them changed. We are currently testing a feature for users to choose between Teams notifications & Windows notifications.
We will update you as work progresses.
Once support for Windows 10 native notifications is released, users who choose to use Windows notifications will be able to utilize Windows OS specific settings for the length of time to display notifications. Mac does not have an OS specific setting, so will not have the support.
Looking at the Discord colour scheme, the server list background is the darkest, the channel list lighter and the message area is the lightest. I found with my development environment that having a grey background is easier on the eyes than a black one. I think this is the solutionTom shared this idea ·
This is a serious oversight. It's the first place people go to in order to start a conversation. It's in the most prominent place and makes sense people will click on it. Or why not just populate the list of users in the chat with everyone in your organisation? Maybe it wouldn't work for larger organisations but for most SMEs it's the ideal way.
This is still under review by the feature team.
Where is there no laughing or smiling emoji in the EmojiOne list? All emoji should be easily searched using the : and then typing the first letter of the emoji name.
I'm OK to use the OS on-screen keyboard to select emoji on my Windows 10 machine but there's no keyboard shortcut to pop that up so I have to move my hand to the mouse and start clicking which makes it a pain.
