We are happy to announce that Teams will now honor the IT policy to disable profile photo uploading (Set-OWAMailboxPolicy -SetPhotoEnabled). We hope to begin rolling out the change to the public ring over the next week.

We control profile pictures at a active directory level. No user in the company besides administrators may upload profile pictures to a users profile. Users are required to submit their profile pictures to Service Desk for upload. This profile picture is then the same accross all 365 products. Only Yamel has a seperate picture. There is no way to bypass this at all. There is no option to upload a profile picture in the users MS Teams client.
