Is Microsoft going to provide us a scary surprise for Hallowe'en and actually hit this feature target release date?

Microsoft needs to ensure feature parity between macOS and Windows, and we need this feature for September 2020 for curriculum delivery in higher education due to the COVID-19 remote learning situation for many users worldwide. Please prioritize and let us know when it's released.

Thanks to all of your feedback and thanks to our partners and their tireless efforts, we’ve made it possible for you to now set up a Microsoft Teams meeting for your online classroom directly from within your learning management system (LMS).
This new capability allows you to quickly enable remote learning for your students and faculty by bringing the power of Teams directly into your LMS. We already have integrations launched across the world’s top LMSs; Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology, and itsLearning!
Learn more about these new integrations and get started today here; https://educationblog.microsoft.com/en-us/2020/03/microsoft-teams-meeting-creation-now-available-in-canvas-blackboard-schoology-brightspace-and-itslearning/
The best part is this is only the beginning because as Teams evolves, we’ll continue to improve our LMS integrations as well. Thank you!

One of the issues with the LTI is that it does not invite specific users, so as such, if the Meeting Organizer records the meeting, the recording by default is only available to the attendees, which means that if specific students did not attend due to timezone issues, the prof has to manually add other students to the video permissions in Stream. :-(

The new Spotlight feature is great, but DOES NOT affect the video that is recorded. In the recording, the Spotlighted user is NOT spotlighted, which is incredibly unhelpful. In this way the video recording is NOT WYSIWYG. https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/35796445-lock-the-video-spotlight

Thank you for your reports on this. Microsoft is working to re-enable secure support for virtual camera apps on the Mac client. Until then, you can use the virtual camera in Teams in Chrome or Edge on your Mac.
We will update here and at the link below when there is more news: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-on-mac/virtual-camera-doesnt-work-macos.

This used to work in Teams just fine, and then they disappeared. I have a Blackmagic Intensity USB and the Fujifilm webcamX options just disappeared one day under Camera.

In discussion with colleagues at other Universities, class sizes are often either 300 or 500, and it would be helpful for it to be at least 300 as 250 is a bit small.
