Due to prioritization of other work-items this has been moved to the backlog. We will update when it is being actively worked on again.
I don't personally need this feature but has anyone tried setting the appointment to Show As 'Free' instead of 'Busy'? Maybe Teams respects that and if not, maybe Teams should. I could see that feature being useful for me. My 2cents.
Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.
I see these! I like them they are a nice improvement and I will use them. I do agree with some of the comments below. For round two, I also agree a few business oriented ones might be good. We also tend to use 'like' more as an 'acknowledged' or 'gotcha' in that we've read that item.
We acknowledge the customer demand for Private Channels and have been hard at work on it. Private Channels is currently in preview with a select group of customers. We expect to release the feature to the public later this Fall, and will update here when we are starting to roll out to all customers. We appreciate all the feedback you have provided to us on this forum and thank you for your patience.
Our use case is we have a team setup for each customer and customers added as guests. We want to create a channel that select internal members can be a part of and select guests.
We have been iterating on different designs and are starting to test internally. I don’t have a timeframe but will keep you posted.
We've recently switched to Teams and one reason is because we really like the 'everything is a thread' setup by default instead of how slack added thread 'after the fact'... I know a lot of people post in uservoice comments about how slack has something that Teams doesn't, but in this case so far I think Teams is ahead of the curve regarding threads, and will be WAY ahead if you can nail this improvement. Please don't make the feature like slack where it has the thread in another column. The original poster said 'this is a visual thing as much as anything else'... and I agree, I think this is just some simple tweaks to the design and as another user said sharing a mockup might help.
As part of our commitment to being customer driven, we’d love your input on top features that will improve your satisfaction with teams and channels navigation, and help you be more productive in Teams. Thanks for your feedback!
This is one thing I would use right away, although it's not uber critical (i.e. I could live without it), if it's quick and easy to implement it would be nice to have. I have customer specific teams(i.e. guest specific) and I want those teams around certain types of conversations like 'planning'
This feature is still being reviewed by the feature team. No decision has been made yet. I’ll keep you posted.
I'd like to weigh in that as soon as I read this idea I saw the benefit because from my own usage, i'm constantly toggling between those two tabs. I rarely use activity, calls, or files.
This feature request is still being reviewed. The team is working hard to make numerous changes with regards to notifications, but they haven’t forgotten about this item.
I hope to have more details soon.
Performance has been and continues to be a big focus area for Teams. One main area we have made improvements in is responsiveness for the most frequent user actions of switching between Chat, Channel, and Activity. We are also focused on reducing resource consumption and application load time. More improvements are on the way.
