Yup that's the ticket
This feature request is still being reviewed. The team is working hard to make numerous changes with regards to notifications, but they haven’t forgotten about this item.
I hope to have more details soon.
This feature request is now under review.
I’ll update this topic as we move through the decision process. Thank you for the suggestion.
This request is still being considered by the feature team but a final decision has not yet been made. I’m still awaiting more details.
I really like the suggestion of creating an alarm on a message, so you come back to it. I’ve passed this on to our engineering team.
Meanwhile, here’s another feature you can utilize for the same purpose — use our “bookmark” button, which is in the upper right corner of every message. This will save that message or thread directly to your profile. To access your saved messages, just click your face in the upper left corner of the product. You’ll see a tab in the left rail that says “Saved.” This is like a list of little reminders.
Hope that helps! :-)
I’m excited to share that I got to use this in our experimental settings the other day. We’ve built it and are testing it internally. I’ll let you know once it moves up in the validation rings!

I'm disappointed to see that this has been backlogged. The ability to just type @channel as plain text and it alert whatever channel it is sent to is really important to us. We use a lot of web hooks to have 3rd party or even internal systems to post updates into our channels. With Slack all we need to do is include @channel in the text and everyone is notified. However with Teams this is not currently possible as you need to select from this dialoge. We would also have to put the specific channel name in which wouldn't be ideal. I really think this should be given a higher priority as I'm sure we can't be the only people who want this functionality
Clippy is flattered by all the attention but plans to continue his retirement.
We have been iterating on different designs and are starting to test internally. I don’t have a timeframe but will keep you posted.
This feature is still on the backlog.
This is in internal testing. I don’t have exact timing for you, but wanted to let you know it is coming!
