Thank you all for the feedback.
Yes, and it would be great if any user can invite any other user to any public channel.
Just like what happens on slack, I definitely need to be able to invite someone to a channel, and also would like to see pop-up for inviting someone when I mention someone who is not in that channel yet.
By inviting someone, I mean setting the channel "favorite" for that person so the channel appears on his/her favorite channel list.
This feature item is still in the works. We will keep you posted as we have new info from the feature team.
Couldn't agree more.
I DEFINITELY need to be able to invite someone to a channel, and I also need to tell who in in a channel.
Wiki now supports text markdown and styling from the toolbar! We are continually improving our compose experience in Wiki, look out for new improvements coming soon!
I really like the suggestion of creating an alarm on a message, so you come back to it. I’ve passed this on to our engineering team.
Meanwhile, here’s another feature you can utilize for the same purpose — use our “bookmark” button, which is in the upper right corner of every message. This will save that message or thread directly to your profile. To access your saved messages, just click your face in the upper left corner of the product. You’ll see a tab in the left rail that says “Saved.” This is like a list of little reminders.
Hope that helps! :-)
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this feature request has been declined.
We’re fixing bugs identified in the comments, and other user reports we’ve received around markdown, but we’ve decided we’re not going to fundamentally change our markdown support.
This is the first time we’ve declined a request, and it didn’t come easily. We weighed this against other important features we’re working on to deliver and we had to make some tough choices.
Really appreciate your understanding on this, and please feel free to ping me if you have any questions, complaints, or need to rant.
This item is still on the backlog.
Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.
This request is still on the backlog.
We’re updating our command library all the time, so keep checking the menu in the command box to see what’s new by typing / or @.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This item has been declined. There will be no work to hide or remove the reply button.
As many people have commented, a big ask is to help improve how people distinguish between giving a reply and starting a new message.
For that the focus will be on this item. “Better visual delineation between `Reply` and `Start a new conversation`”
