Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

Glad to see that they are working on it...but I don't buy that it is a big focus for the Teams team. If it was then I wouldn't be looking at 579.4MB of RAM used by a single app. Cut this down to at least a third.

Teams does not have this. Yes, a room can be specified, but it does not book it as resource nor does it show any conflicts/warnings when scheduling

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:

    - Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook

    - Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams

    - Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

I can't even rename a channel. The command to edit a channel is not present in the context menu. Is this a permissions issue or did that entire feature get removed?

I cannot favorite a channel because the current client does not offer that command in the context menu of the channel. This may be a bug, but even if it works it is questionable to cripple UX with such a restriction to see only five channels per team.

try this instead  ·  Suphatra responded

Currently we have Teams defaulted to show you the first (up to five) channels ever created. If you want to add more channels to your left rail view, just click the ellipses next to the channel name and select “Favorite”. When you favorite the channel, it will then be “pinned” to your left rail under that team name.

Try that and let me know if that meets your needs!

When I click on the ellipsis next to a channel name the command "Favorite" is not shown. Make this a setting somewhere to determine how many channels per team a user wants to see.
I prefer to see everything even if that makes for a long list. I am on so many teams that even with the limit of 5 channels I still have to scroll.
