We’ve heard your suggestions and are working on the ability to clone an existing team using a template. When released, if you were to click on Add Team, then Create a Team, you would get the UI pop up that prompts you to “Create your Team” but, if you look to the bottom of the UI you would see the option to choose “Create a team using an existing team as a template”! Once you select that option, you would be able choose which channels, team settings, apps, and members to inherit via a simple setup wizard.
Look for this feature to release by the end of the calendar year! And thank you all for the great feedback. -Warren

We currently do not support pinning a specific folder, but we are considering this feature.
This item is still queued up in the backlog. No additional details are available at this moment.

Team without a template is a short term solution. But with a template, it becomes a corporate solution to invest on. A template is a first must. The second must is the opportunity to decide where the documents will be created within your SharePoint to make sure that you keep managing and governing the created documents. Example given, if you mster your documents within sharepoint by metadata, you should still be able to do it for documents created from TEAM.
