Hi folks, we are collecting feedback on this so we can determine prioritization and user need.
Please comment in the thread below about how this affects you, how you currently add members, and who you think would benefit from this in your organization.
When a new team onboards, we have to individually add everyone on that team rather than in a batch, which can be anywhere from 5-40 people. We need something where we can list everyone in a team, all the channels they need to be a part of, and click once to get it done. Adding a bunch of people to a channel is a problem at the moment.
As we announced at Microsoft Ignite 2019 this morning, we are excited to confirm that Multi-window capabilities are coming to Microsoft Teams, and will start rolling out to the public ring early next year!
Alex & the Teams team
This is so annoying - when will we have the basic function of opening multiple windows for multiple chats??
Maybe microsoft people aren't well liked and never have to talk to more than one person at a time. :\
This really isn't good enough - Teams is unusable without this feature for people who actually need to chat.
How long before this is fixed? Teams is unusable if I can't have multiple chat windows open.
Allowing deletion of private chat threads is on the backlog.
This request has been declined by the feature team.
Private channels may help with items such as this request once they are released. The Private channel topic is tracked at http://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/16911079
Please note the handling of “Guest Accounts” is a separate ask and can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16911109-guest-access

Thank you all for the feedback.
Yes agreed +1
The ability to turn off emojis is still being worked upon.
Also, there is work to create a compact mode which will also help reduce white space… which in turn will impact some of the complaints are far as wasted space from the emojis as well, that have been voiced in the comments.
Stay tuned for more details.
Reducing by 50% is not partially done - they're still way too huge and take up way too much space! What do you guys think the purpose of emoticons is, exactly? Please look at how virtually all other chat programs handle emoticons and just copy them! It's not hard, but all this does is illustrate that the Microsoft Teams team clearly has no idea how to use chat!
Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.
I don't emails that you're not doing anything either. Honestly Microsoft Teams is the worst product with the worst support. :\
Hate to be the bearer of bad news. This item has been declined. There will be no work to hide or remove the reply button.
As many people have commented, a big ask is to help improve how people distinguish between giving a reply and starting a new message.
For that the focus will be on this item. “Better visual delineation between `Reply` and `Start a new conversation`”
The reply *is* smaller than it used to be.
We’re currently working on defining a compact mode experience. I will post more details when we have more to share.
The last update was in September, and it's now December! When can we expect the new layout?
This feature request is still being reviewed by the feature team. No ETA for a decision yet.
This item is still under review. I’ll keep following up with the feature team.
This feature request is now actively being worked upon. As we move through the development process, I will post an new updates to this topic.
Please keep the votes and feedback coming in. Your feedback is shared with the feature team every month.
Currently we have Teams defaulted to show you the first (up to five) channels ever created. If you want to add more channels to your left rail view, just click the ellipses next to the channel name and select “Favorite”. When you favorite the channel, it will then be “pinned” to your left rail under that team name.
Try that and let me know if that meets your needs!
Why not just show all the channels? It's like you guys *want* everyone to have to click a bunch of extra times on everything.
Unfortunately we hit some snags and this has moved back to “working on it”. The team is working to make some corrections and I hope to have a release date in the near future. I’ll keep you posted with what I hear.
This feature request is still being reviewed. The team is working hard to make numerous changes with regards to notifications, but they haven’t forgotten about this item.
I hope to have more details soon.

Hi — My apologies for the delay in updating this item. We rolled out a fix a year ago for a specific issue of status changing to away in Teams when you were still active on the device. We thought this had fixed the “incorrect status” issue. From comments below, it sounds like people are still seeing issues.
If you are still having issues, it would be super helpful if you can capture logs by typing Ctrl + Shift + Alt + 1, and send the file from your downloads folder along with device info and detailed repro steps to firstname.lastname@example.org.
