As we announced at Microsoft Ignite 2019 this morning, we are excited to confirm that Multi-window capabilities are coming to Microsoft Teams, and will start rolling out to the public ring early next year!
Alex & the Teams team
any update? this has been out here since November 2016...
is there an update on this feature? the last update I see if from December 2018
update on availability ?
I attend meetings and need to see the screen sharing content at the same time I am chatting with teammates -- I need to multi task without minimizing the screen...
Good news! This is in the works.
I'd like to switch from Skype for Business to Teams for chat and meetings, etc. but I lose functionality when I go to Teams -- presence in Outlook goes away and its crucial to my daily workflow- instead of responding to some emails, I'll click on the user's presence and send them a quick message or spin up a voice conversation -- getting me out of email and into real-time collaboration. (Part of the reasons why Teams exists.)
This request has been reviewed and declined by the feature team.

We’re currently working on defining a compact mode experience. I will post more details when we have more to share.
Good news, this feature is partially done. :)
Planner tasks can now be copied to other plans. To copy a task, click on the “…” menu on the task. From there, you can select a different plan to copy the task to.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered for testing the Office 365 group calendar. The TAP team will be reaching out as we are closer to being ready.
We're trying to move to Teams, but group/team calendar is key. When can we expect it?
