We know many of you are waiting for a Teams client for Linux, and we’re pleased to confirm we’re actively working on it. Stay tuned for more information.
Please add me to the insiders demo
Here is how you get audio and video working on Linux (Just for them who don't read 2nd pages in comments):
This one is for those who are free to choose the tool (and for MS to learn how to share screen in a browser)
Suphrata, I feel with you.
Since now, you have the badest position ever.
The point is: Your customers pay for your products - So bring them out of beta-status.
If you're not able to make a native linux client, then fix the webapp.
We payed for that!
Bring us audio, video and screensharing. If you don't know how that works, look at nextcloud or some of the others.
Support for audio, video and screen sharing is now supported on Google Chrome.
Come on guys. Serious?
IE, Safari and Firefox. And the other one?
That unimportant app with > 65% market share? That fancy google-thing ...
Did you ever read some browser statistics?
You guys are like kids they're told to clean up rooms and after month they come to their parent with a bright smile in their face and tell them: "Today, I will clean up my - penilcase"
Guys - make this issue run on chrome and linux!
And skip every investment in IE.
The request for 1:1 calling Chrome support is still “on the backlog”.
1:1 calling works in Edge.
Group calling and meetings works for Edge & Chrome.
I hope to have more information to share soon.
