    Same issue here. Both from the Win and Web client.

    Wanted to post that we acknowledge this feedback. We’re cranking on quite a few new features, so while you won’t see this soon, please know its on our to-do list!

    Thank you for your continued feedback. The feature team is actively working on this feature as well as doing work to give users the choice to open Word/Excel/PowerPoint files by default in Browser, Office app or inside the Teams app. We will share an update here as soon as one is available.

    We also should be able to turn off the message that says "We're opening document.docx in Word.
    Feel free to keep using Microsoft Teams"

    That just causes an extra click.
