Settings within the UI to preset your zoom preference is now in testing! I will change the status of this item to reflect the last piece of this ask.
The zoom feature has released to the public and is considered completed. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC. This functionality is also available on the Mac. There is also an UI element stating your current zoom level is available.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!
@Jane - being released to the public ring means the feature has released to the general public. It may take several days for the update to hit your particular computer.
I don't know the exact timing but my understanding is it can take up to a couple weeks for all computers to receive a new update.
This should be working via the web client.
Can users confirm if you are still having this issue? Please let me know in the comments below.
Ack, that's no good.
Thanks for the feedback. I will follow up with the feature team about this!
As mentioned in the prior status, the channel limit was raised from 100 to 200.
In the near future a retention limit will be set so you can still go back and reinstate a channel you had deleted. Once the retention period has expired then the channel will get a hard delete which will free up the space and no longer count toward the 200 channel limit.
This will help with some of the issues you have voiced in the comments below.
But I understand many of you wish the limit to be further increased. I will continue to provide your votes and comments to the feature team.
The channel limit is 200 and there is no current way to have more than that limit.
We should have a retention policy you can manage in the near future to help hard delete channels and free up space within the 200 channel limit. :)
The ability to turn off emojis is still being worked upon.
Also, there is work to create a compact mode which will also help reduce white space… which in turn will impact some of the complaints are far as wasted space from the emojis as well, that have been voiced in the comments.
Stay tuned for more details.
Ben - After typing an emoji if you hit CTRL+Z it will revert to alphanumeric characters and will send as such to your recipients.
I hope that helps a bit!
There seems to be some confusion around how this works. First off the ability to delete messages is off by default.
The IT Admin who setup the Teams environment will need to turn on the admin ability to delete messages. Once they have enabled the functionality, admins will be able to delete user messages.
If your IT Admin as enabled it and you still are having troubles please let me know in the comments below.
The survey has now been completed.
Thanks to everyone who took time out to complete the survey. Your continued feedback really helps us target the issues.
I’ve moved the status back to working on it. The team is digging through all the great feedback and taking further steps to improve your experience.
Thanks again for your feedback and support!
This update is specifically targeting the Giphy selector scenario and the memory improvement is seen in that case. We have numerous memory improvements in the works which all work to improve the overall memory usage. Unfortunately I don't have any details I can share at this time. However, I will post more updates as soon as I am able.
